The son of a Haitian father and of a famous Swiss actress, Pekko Rayne was born in 1993 in Los Angeles. He received a BA in 2014 from Yale University and an MFA in 2017 from Colombia University. Precocious, he started exhibiting while at Yale and his works can already be found in the collections of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; Museum of Modern Art; Centre Pompidou, Paris; Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; and Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York.

Currently one of the most promising young artists on the international scene, Pekko Rayne is also extremely secretive, rejecting social networks and as much as possible virtual exposure.
